We do not kneel!
Lore
The free folk are a race of people residing beyond the Wall in northern Westeros. They are more commonly known as “wildlings” to those living south of the Wall. The free folk are divided into numerous distinct cultures, tribes, clans, villages, and raiding parties. Some of these groups are relatively cultured, while others can be savage and hostile.

Faction Identity
Comprised of loose tribes and rival clans, the Free Folk live scattered across the frosty wasteland north of the Wall, bound by a fierce sense of independence. Shaped over centuries by their harsh and inhospitable environment, the Free Folk possess clever instincts, a deep connection to nature, and a raw, bare-knuckled cruelty. Though the Wildlings lack the cohesion and discipline of a formal army, they are no less deadly on the battlefield. Woe to Westeros should the Free Folk unite under a common cause!
Play Style
The Free Folk army offers a wide range of playstyles. Whether you prefer marauding war mammoths and frenzied giants or light Wildling infantry supported by mind-controlled beasts, the faction provides an array of monstrous and human options. (Unit Variety and Monsters). With more wounds on the table than any other faction, the Free Folk regularly boasts the highest activation count in all of Westeros. (Horde Army). Quantity is its own kind of quality. Many non-monster units are individually weak and easy to kill, requiring Free Folk players to leverage superior numbers through clever encirclement, effective use of terrain, and cautious strategy. This tactical depth can be challenging for beginners but rewarding for those who master it. Many tactics cards and abilities grant bonuses based on the proximity or engagement of multiple units. (Tactical Play Style). Speed is a vital element of the Free Folk’s preferred style of warfare. Their favored zone on the tactics board is the Maneuver zone. However, unlike other factions, the Free Folk gain no specific bonuses from claiming tactics board zones. Similar to the Night’s Watch, the Free Folk care little for politics. (Great Mobility).
