Faction: Greyjoy

We do not sow!

Lore

House Greyjoy of Pyke is one of the Great Houses of Westeros. They rule over the Iron Islands, a collection of isles off the west coast of Westeros, from the Seastone Chair in the castle of Pyke, located on the island of the same name. The head of the family is traditionally known as the Lord Reaper of Pyke. Their sigil is a golden kraken on a black field, and their house motto is “We Do Not Sow.”

Faction Identity

The Greyjoys are brutal raiders and pillagers, a fierce seafaring people shaped by the harsh conditions of the Iron Islands. Unyielding and independent, they worship the Drowned God, a dark and ominous deity reflecting their bleak and rugged way of life. Like the unforgiving seas they dominate, the Greyjoys are relentless and unpredictable, striking fear into the hearts of those who face them.

Play Style

The buccaneering nature of House Greyjoy is embodied in their Pillage Mechanic, which allows units to grow stronger with every enemy rank they destroy. (Unique Pillage Mechanic). Greyjoy units excel in melee combat, boasting raw offensive power. Almost every unit in their arsenal is a threat in close-quarters engagements. (Melee Focused). Though their defense and morale stats are relatively weak initially, the Greyjoys compensate through their healing and sustain abilities, delivered via tactics cards and NCUs. As pillage tokens stack, their units become more durable, allowing them to grind down opponents over time. Few armies can outlast a Greyjoy force in prolonged engagements. (Grinding Play Style). The Greyjoy roster is exclusively infantry-based, meaning they lack mobility and special movement abilities. Their absence of cavalry or  monsters limits their tactical flexibility. (No Cavalry or Monsters).
